REF confirms growth in quality of research
The 2014 Research Excellence Framework results show that the School of Computer Science has improved the quality of its research outputs profile.
Professor Nigel John, Head of the School of Computer Science, welcomed the results of the 2014 REF, in which research from the School was one of 14 submissions made by the University.
He said “The quality of our outputs (publications) have significantly increased with 66% now being world leading or internationally excellent.”
The REF results come only a few months after Bangor University’s outstanding results in the National Student Survey, which placed top in Wales and seventh in the UK for student satisfaction.
“When put alongside the NSS scores, the 2014 REF results underline the attractiveness of studying Computer Science at Bangor University where students will be taught in a research-active School that also offers a great student experience,” said Prof Nigel John.
