School Celebrates Black History Month
The School of History, Philosophy and Social Sciences are proud to support Race Council Cymru’s Icons of Black Wales. The project seeks to celebrate diversity by publicising the achievements and contributions of Black people to local and national history and culture.
This online exhibition offers a unique opportunity for people to engage with voices which have often been overlooked in academic disciplines, thus it provides a fuller picture of Welsh history and culture. The School’s equality officer Dr Corinna Patterson who is promoting the project within the School hopes that it will inspire both staff and students to explore the role of minority groups within the various modules offered by the School.
