SENRGy and Bangor University surge up the charts
Bangor University and the School of Environment, Natural Resources and Geography have performed well in the latest Guardian University Guide. As an institution, Bangor University is now ranked 2nd in Wales, having climbed 16 places in the Guardian’s latest league table.
There has been similarly good news for SENRGY, with its subject ranking for Geography and Environmental Studies seeing one the largest increases in the UK this year. Bangor leapt 24 places up the subject league table and features in an article regarding “subjects on the rise”. The league tables use a range of data including results from the National Student Survey. In addition, Bangor scored particularly well on its staff-student ratio and money spent per student.
Improvements in the league table position for Geography and Environment Studies follow a recent revalidation of all SENRGy degrees and the appointment of new lecturing staff within the school. However, one thing does not change and that is that degrees within SENRGy continue to be taught by enthusiastic staff within a friendly department located in one of the most fantastic locations in the UK.
