Statement: A level results and use of Centre Assessed Grades
Following the A level results changes, we would like to reassure all our applicants that if you have a place with us, you have nothing to worry about. We’re pleased that those who will receive improved Centre Assessment Grades have had their hard work and achievement recognised, and we look forward to welcoming you here in September.
For those who may have been made alternative course offers, then we will be assessing your application in the case of any improved Centre Assessment Grades. Our advice to those applicants offered a place on an alternative course is to contact us directly as soon as they have received official confirmation of their grades by emailing admissions@bangor.ac.uk
We know this has been an extremely challenging year for many students and that there has been both confusion and disappointment over the way in which the awarding of student grades have been managed. We are still welcoming Clearing applications and have a friendly and dedicated team ready to advise applicants on our Clearing Helpline 0800 085 1818.
We always take a flexible approach, taking the achievements and potential of each individual into consideration when discussing Clearing places.
To those already made Clearing offers, we know that some of you will be considering your options in the light of the changes to A Level grades. The advice from UCAS is to speak to your original university about your initial firm choice place – in the meantime your Clearing place here at Bangor is reserved for you.
