University closed Friday, 2 March
As a result of the weather warning issued by the Met Office for tonight and tomorrow morning, and the need to restrict non-essential travel, the University will be closed tomorrow (Friday, 2 March).
This decision has been made to ensure the safety of students, staff and visitors to the University.
This means that most University activities – including all lectures, seminars and tutorials etc -have been cancelled.
Staff are encouraged to work from home where appropriate.
Students and staff are advised to exercise care and follow the advice given by the emergency services, local authority and public transport companies.
The severe weather is expected to disrupt transport and travel, and as a result students and staff should only travel over the next few days if it's safe to do so.
