0:01 Hello, I'm Professor Christian Dunn from the School of Environmental and Natural Sciences here at Bangor University, and I wanted to congratulate you on your offer. Well done.

0:11 And I also wanted to give you three things that makes Bangor so special. And the first is the additional teaching facilities that we have. So, we have all the nice shiny labs and the lecture theatres, the and expect from our university of our standing.

0:26 But we also have a research farming research centre. We have our own botanic gardens and we have our own natural history museum, which you will use when you're here studying with us at Bangor.

0:38 The second thing is all your lecturers to a certain degree are research active, which means that they are doing the research which they are then teaching you. And so when you come on to do your third year project, you'll be doing it with an active research group.

0:54 And the third thing is, well, our location. We are in the best natural laboratory you could hope for, right there. We have the sea and just over there we have the mountains and we have every habitat you can imagine in between. It is a great place to live and to study if you are interested in the natural world. So, I'm looking forward to seeing you in September.
