I am Joseph Roy, an ESRC- WGSS (Welsh Graduate School for Social Scinces) PhD student in Eco-psychology. I have started off studying how animal behaviour is changed to adapt to the human induced environmental changes and currenly I am working on the opposite way to understand how human wellbeing is affected by nature. I will be studying soundscapes of nature with a focus on birds and use a multiude of tools from psychology, neuroscience and physiology to understand how human wellbeing is affeceted by nature interactions. I am also keen to apply these to ecology and conservation of the natural soundscapes.
