Overview
Charlotte holds BSc and MSc degrees in Sport Psychology and is currently enrolled on an Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) funded PhD focusing on leadership in sport, studying at Bangor University’s Institute for the Psychology of Elite Performance. Results from the recent UK-wide REF2021 research assessment exercise speak to the calibre of research produced by this research group; Bangor’s Sports Science submission emerged stronger than Birmingham, Liverpool John Moores, and Loughborough Universities’. Charlotte’s research interests include leadership within teams and more broadly, team dynamics (e.g., team cohesion, collective efficacy). This interest was piqued by her personal experiences as the captain of Bangor University women’s basketball team and her desire to foster a cohesive environment. She possesses a keen intellectual curiosity and a passion for research. Charlotte is an emerging talented researcher and was recently recognised by the ESRC when they invited her to present at the National Centre for Research Methods Showcase. She has recently collaborated with Metris Leadership Ltd (leadership/team development organisation) to aid the development of tools designed to develop and sustain teams capable of delivering on their potential.
