Overview
Yankier Pijeira Perez is a Research officer at the Centre for Health Economics and Medicines Evaluations (CHEME) at Bangor University. He is also a qualified and registered pharmacy technician with experience working in the National Health Service in North Wales.
Originally from Cuba, he holds an Economics degree from the University of Havana (2009). Yankier also completed a master’s degree in Health Technology Assessment at the University of Glasgow (2018) and is working on his PhD in Health Economics at Bangor University.
Yankier is particularly interested in optimizing medicine use and drug prices, and his work includes estimating costs and health utilities.
