FUNDED POSTGRADUATE INTERNSHIPS TO RESEARCH ANGLESEY HISTORY
Bangor University’s Institute for the Study of Welsh Estates is collaborating with the Bodorgan Estate on Anglesey to offer two postgraduate research internships across Semester 1.
Bodorgan Estate has received funding from the Welsh Government to construct a new footpath through part of the estate, linking to the existing Wales Coast Path. The project incorporates various habitant restoration initiatives and interpretation of the area’s rich social and cultural heritage.
The research internships are designed to identify and construct narratives which can form part of the heritage interpretation experienced by users of the footpath. One internship will adopt an oral history/interview methodology, the other will focuses on archival research of 20th century records held at the Bodorgan estate office.
We warmly welcome applications from postgraduate students or doctoral researchers who will be registered at Bangor University from October-December 2022.
Please see the attached role specifications for further information.
The deadline for applications is Friday, 9th September 2022
