Created under the auspices of a Co-operation Agreement between Bangor University (BU) and the Central South University of Forestry & Technology (CSUFT); Bangor College China (BCC), is a Joint School established in Changsha, Hunan Province, China.
BCC offers BU undergraduate degree programmes, which are taught through the medium of English. Students enrol on a 4-year degree programme and have the option of transferring to Bangor to in Years 2 and 3 to complete their degree.
A third of the teaching at BCC is carried out by BU staff, and the remaining teaching is carried out by academic staff based at BCC full-time.
Students based at BCC are Bangor Students. They are provided with a Bangor email account, and have access to the Library resources, online learning resources (which are also accessed by BU-based students), IT support and the Students' Union.
On completion of their course, students will receive a degree certificate from both BU and CSUFT (what is known as a dual degree programme). The degree programmes offered through BCC are subject to UK and Chinese Quality Assurance regulations.
