THE LANGUAGE TECHNOLOGIES UNIT IS NOW ISO 27001:2013 CERTIFIED

The Language Technologies Unit is now ISO 27001:2013 certified

Cyber security is becoming increasingly important, as attacks on confidential data rise. The Language Technologies Unit is the first unit within Bangor University, and any other university in Wales, to be ISO 27001 certified. This certification is the international standard for information security, which sets out the specification for an information security management system (ISMS). By gaining the certification, public authorities, and others in Wales will be able to use the Unit’s products such as the Vocab plug-in [https://techiaith.cymru/cloud/widgets/vocab/?lang=en] on their websites with the confidence and knowledge that the risk of any outside attacks are minimized.
