Prestatyn High School Celebrates Global Cultures with Hands-on Chinese Craft Workshops!
As part of Prestatyn High School’s vibrant Festival of Cultures, students had the chance to immerse themselves in Chinese traditions through two hands-on workshops, learning to craft intricate Chinese bracelets and lanterns. Delivered by the Confucius Institute at Bangor University, these sessions provided a creative and interactive way to explore Chinese heritage, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm among the students.
This was our first visit to Prestatyn High School, and we were delighted by the warm welcome and the student’s eagerness to engage in the activities. From carefully knotting symbolic bracelets to designing colourful lanterns, each student added their artistic touch while learning about the cultural meanings behind these traditional crafts.
The Festival of Cultures at Prestatyn High School is a fantastic initiative, that fosters global awareness and appreciation through hands-on experiences. We were thrilled to be part of it and look forward to future collaborations to bring even more Chinese cultural experiences to the school.
