Our new PGDip in General Practice Nursing is a Specialist Practice Qualification (SPQ) designed for registered nurses who wish to develop advanced skills in primary care. It will be delivered via flexible online learning and supports full-time and part-time study routes, ideal for professionals balancing clinical practice with professional development.
Currently in development, in alignment with contemporary healthcare needs, this course aims to equip practitioners with the knowledge, confidence, and critical thinking skills required to thrive in a general practice setting. Entry requirements*
Applicants must:
- Be registered with a statutory nursing body for at least one year
- A 2:1 or first-class degree preferred; applications from those with a 2:2 will be considered based on references and personal statement
- Evidence access to clinical placements aligned to programme learning outcomes
- Have a current enhanced DBS
- Provide a strong personal statement and professional reference
