About This Course
By studying this MA you will have opportunities to gain specialist dyslexia accreditation both as a British Dyslexia Association (BDA) approved specialist dyslexia teacher (ATS) and to gain accreditation as an approved dyslexia assessor (AMBDA with APC). By studying the different modules offered as part of the course, you will learn about the theory that underpins our understanding of Specific Learning Difficulties and Dyslexia. Successful completion of relevant modules will allow students to gain the following British Dyslexia Association accreditation: ATS (Approved Teacher Status) in Specific Learning Difficulties/ Dyslexia and AMBDA (Associated Member of the British Dyslexia Association) and APC (Assessment Practising Certificate) in Dyslexia Assessment.
These qualifications and professional accreditation will allow you to teach and assess learners with dyslexia, and have the potential to open up new career pathways and specialism in these areas.
