Overview
Indicative Course Content: -Conducting Investigations: Examining the investigation process -Organised Crime structure and history -Counter Terrorism: Organisation and structure of terrorism and counter-terrorism policing -Increased police powers and controversies – surveillance, suspicious financial activities report -Key national strategies and strategy frameworks for policing -Constitutional set-ups and the role of the police in a democratic society -The role of the police in joint emergency situations and major incidents -Community engagement and its strategic importance -Police effectiveness and challenges ahead
