Cybersecurity Unveiled: Stories and Strategies from the Frontlines
Les Pritchard obtained a PhD from Bangor University in 2006 in the area of distributed computing and security. After working as a network manager and forensic investigator, he now works as a cyber security specialist through his company Neterix. Les works with a wide variety of clients across the UK and overseas, ranging from multi-nationals, major charities, premier league football clubs and healthcare.
This talk will share his experience working in a fast moving industry. He will discuss some of the most common threats companies and individuals face, providing tips to help avoid them. Les will also cover some real world anecdotes from his time working with clients. The talk will include some demonstrations of common vulnerabilities and the security of cloud environments.
