Join staff and researchers during 24 - 28 July 2023 for five days of specialised and interesting talks delivered in the medium of English in the field of Philosophy, Ethics and Religion. From the ethics of artificial intelligence (AI) to the ethics of cannibalism; from the relationship between Paganism and LGBTQ+ to whether Jediism is a new religion; and from the Jewish responses to the Holocaust to why exactly study philosophy, this Summer School will give prospective students and everyone who is interested in Philosophy, Ethics and Religion a taste of the types of subjects we explore at Bangor and which our staff and researchers are exploring academically.
Dr Gareth Evans-Jones, who will be delivering sessions in the week, comments that 'This will be an exciting opportunity to demonstrate to possible students what we teach at Bangor and what we are researching. As the schedule shows, our areas of interest are greatly varied and that is one of the major strengths of the Philosophy, Ethics and Religion degree and community at Bangor.'
