THE ROLE:
- Calling alumni (graduates) of Bangor on the phone to talk to them about their experience here and ask them to support The Bangor Fund with a donation
- Make a personal connection, be a face of Bangor University and bring alumni back to the university through the call
- Alumni donations have funded, for example, scholarships and bursaries, internships, travel grants, sports provision and Welsh language and cultural activities. You’ll need to use your own experience or that of a fellow student to bring this to life on the phone
THE BENEFITS:
- Attractive rate of pay of £13.45 per hour!
- Enhance your skills to add to your CV – you’ll learn how to negotiate, enhance your communication skills, work as part of a team and much more
- Full training and support
- Talk to some truly interesting, inspirational and influential people
- Raise money for some great projects right across Bangor University
- Work around your university commitments – evening and weekend shifts
- We run two campaigns per year so there’s the potential for ongoing work
REQUIREMENTS:

- Ability to relate to and communicate with a huge variety of people – well-developed listening skills and high standard of both spoken and written English and, for some team members, also the ability to communicate to a high standard of both written and spoken Welsh
- Persistent, creative and flexible – able to turn negatives into positives and negotiate to achieve agreed outcomes
- Enthusiastic and passionate about Bangor – happy to talk about your knowledge of the university and your department
- You’ll be a well-rounded and interesting individual capable of really engaging conversations – involvement in Bangor University clubs and societies is considered helpful, but by no means essential
