Bangor University launches the Bangor Employability Award
The Bangor Employability Award (BEA) scheme is currently being launched to undergraduate students in all academic schools. The scheme has been designed to enhance the career prospects of Bangor University students through the provision of a programme of personal development and career management exercises, alongside recognition of many extracurricular and co-curricular activities (e.g. experiences of work, volunteering, active membership of clubs & societies, learning new languages, etc.). The BEA will help students to recognise the transferability of the skills that they develop whilst participating in these activities, and to learn how to articulate them to future employers.
The Award is open to all undergraduate students, engagement with it is optional, and it runs alongside (but completely separate to) the degree programme. Experience points (XP) are awarded for activities up to three distinct levels, and upon completion of the scheme, students will receive a BEA certificate and transcript, alongside those for their degree.
