Biotic and Abiotic Stress
Climate change is one of the major challenges facing the world, and the crops we grow will have to adapt to very different growing conditions in the future. Even without climate change, there are ever increasing pressures on land to produce more food, and increasing competition for resources. Crops and cropping systems therefore need to be developed to cope with drought and salinity, nutrient constraints, and a range of pest and diseases.
