Online Graduation Celebrations

To help students celebrate their graduation, we have created resources including downloadable Zoom backgrounds, stickers and filters to use in our students’ online celebrations.  

By working with Dr Llyr ap Cenydd from the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering, we have developed an Instagram Augmented Reality graduation filter, so that Bangor graduates can celebrate and share this important milestone with a virtual graduation photo. Students can record a video of themselves celebrating in front of some iconic graduation backdrops like the Main Arts library, the quad or the Menai Strait.

You can find our graduation filter by visiting our Instagram profile (on your mobile device) and tapping the smiley face icon.

Also new is a graduation Facebook Profile Picture Frame, where students can add a ‘Bangor Grad’ frame to their profile picture. Our stickers can be found by searching for ‘Bangor University’ on any platform that supports GIPHY (e.g Instagram and Facebook stories and Snapchat). 

Remember to use hashtag #Bangor2020 and tagging the University in your social media posts so that they will be shareable!
