07/24 Cycle to Work Day 1st August 2024 & Staff Cycling Survey
Cycle to Work Day is an annual event that promotes the cycling as an option for travelling to work. Riding a bike is healthy, fun and a low-impact form of exercise. Whether you’ve never cycled before, or are out of practice, this is a good time to introduce it to your commute. As part of the national Cycle to Work Day, we’d like to highlight some of the information available to staff:
- Accessories for safe cycling
- Bike maintenance
- Bike retail, repair, and servicing shops
- Local cycle groups and clubs
- North Wales cycle and mountain bike routes
- Showers and bike racks
- Staff cycle to work scheme
Your Cycling Experience
The University is committed to improving opportunities for our staff and student community to engage in cycling – as part of this it would be helpful to know more about staff experiences of cycling and to understand any barriers to doing so. Whether you regularly cycle for work or for leisure, have perhaps used the Cycle to Work Scheme to purchase a bike, or would like to cycle more but aren’t sure where to start – please complete this two-minute survey.
