Bangor top in Wales for student satisfaction in Modern Languages
The School of Modern Languages at Bangor has achieved excellent results in this year’s National Student Survey, coming top in Wales for student satisfaction in European Languages. The results also place the School in the top ten for European Languages in the UK.
The National Student Survey is an annual poll of around half a million graduating students at each university in the UK, which provides the most comprehensive feedback on the student experience at each institution.
Dr Anna Saunders, Head of School, said of the survey: ‘These results demonstrate a long-standing tradition of excellence in modern language teaching at Bangor, and reflect the high levels of pastoral care in the School and commitment to the student body. We always try our best to listen to the student voice, and have worked alongside a team of engaged student representatives in order to respond to their needs wherever possible – both inside and outside the classroom.’
The School’s National Student Survey results are mirrored in the University’s results as a whole, which also place it in ahead of all Welsh other universities and in the top 10 in the UK – alongside other traditional universities such as Glasgow, Durham, and indeed both Oxford and Cambridge.
