British Senior Weight Lifting Championships comes to Maes Glas
Bangor University’s Sports’ Centre, Maes Glas, will be hosting the British Senior Weight Lifting Championships on Saturday, July 13th.
The hosting of the prestigious event follows on from the success of having the Olympic Chinese weight lifting team train at the centre and holding the Home Nations weight lifting competition in 2012.
The Championships are considered to be one of the biggest events in the British Weight Lifting calendar and is a qualifier for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Men and women from all over Britain will compete with the hope of winning a title. The weigh-in will take place early morning and the competition will start at 10am. All spectators are welcome.
Bangor University Sports’ Director Richard Bennett said: “We are delighted to welcome back British Weight Lifting to Maes Glas this year and are proud to be hosting such an important event.”
