Celebrating Women!
Throughout March this year, the School of History, Philosophy and Social Sciences will be celebrating Women’s History Month by releasing a series of interesting talks about significant women on the School’s YouTube channel. Among the women discussed in the bitesize sessions (8-20 minutes), are Rosa Parks, Sojourner Truth, Emmeline Pankhurst, Ann Griffiths and Simone de Beauvoir.
As Dr Gareth Evans-Jones from the School says, ‘The aim of these talks is to promote the substantial contribution of several women to various fields and to inspire people to read more about these and other women. This is an exciting venture and one that will, hopefully, appeal greatly.’
Talks will be released every Monday and Wednesday. To watch these talks, see the School’s YouTube channel
