Consultation Event brings Park a step closer
The Menai Science Park project continues to move forwards and will be consulting on plans in Gaerwen on the 1st of September. Residents are invited to come along to view the initial ideas.
With archaeology works being conducted on site and a number of other studies underway, the aim will be to submit the outline planning application in the Autumn.
This puts the Park on track to open its doors to this exciting venture in the academic year 2016-17. Work is already underway to find companies who will provide support services, and many of these conversations are taking place with projects already running within the University and within the business community.
Several events have been held by the project team, the next of which will take place in the Village Hall at Gaerwen on the 1st of September. Doors will open to the public between 2:00-7:00pm, with copies of the site masterplan on show and plenty of opportunity for discussion with members of the Project Team and the master planners.
A positive level of interest has been shown by companies and ventures in the area who wish to locate on the Park, with the overall aim of creating and supporting skilled and well paid employment in the area. The Project is funded through Welsh Government and EU Structural Funds
