European Masters Weightlifting comes to Bangor

 Bangor University Sport Centre, Canolfan Brailsford will be hosting the European Masters Weightlifting event from 13th - 20th June 2015.

The Championships are considered to be one of the biggest events in the Masters Weightlifting calendar. Over 400 lifters from 28 different countries will take part, men and women from all over Europe will compete with the hope of winning a Masters title. Over 25% of the entries are from the UK, a record amount of British competitors taking part in this event.  

Richard Bennett, Bangor University’s Director of Sport, said: “We are delighted to welcome the European Masters event here at Bangor University which I’m sure will provide some good competition over the course of the week”.

Spectators are welcome and entrance is free.
