Gwynedd Business Week 2014 - Celebrating and promoting the county’s businesses

A Business Breakfast Launch Event at The Management Centre, Bangor University on Monday, 19 May launches Gwynedd’s main business event, Gwynedd Business Week 2014. The Launch will be an opportunity to network and enjoy a keynote speech from Ieuan Wyn Jones discussing the Menai Science Park over breakfast.

For the ninth year running, Gwynedd Business Week (19 and 23 May) celebrates and promotes local business success and offers a great opportunity for all kinds of local businesses to come together to network and exchange ideas.

The week will be based around a programme of various events to be held across Gwynedd in venues including Dolgellau, Bangor, Caernarfon and Pwllheli. Established or new start-up businesses will be welcomed at each event.

Councillor John Wynn Jones, Gwynedd Council Economy Cabinet Member said: “We are looking forward to this special event, as well as other business related events during the week, which is a chance to celebrate the achievements of the Gwynedd business community. I would urge anyone who is interested in business matters and the local economy to join us for this prestigious event.”

The highlight of the week will be the Gwynedd Business Week Gala Dinner which will be held on Thursday, 22 May at the Management Centre, Bangor. As always, the Dinner will be a chance for business leaders from all over Gwynedd to meet like-minded people, to share ideas and experiences.

During the Dinner, Gwynedd Business Network will present an award to the person nominated as Gwynedd Business Person of the Year. In addition the Gwynedd branch of the Federation of Small Businesses will present an award to the Young Entrepreneur that has successfully established a business in the current year and has positively contributed to the economy of Gwynedd.
