Iolo Williams talk at Pontio
The Welsh naturalist Iolo Williams will be giving a talk about his career at Pontio, Bangor University on Wednesday 26 September.
He was brought up in mid Wales, then worked for the RSPB before becoming well known as a television presenter on Springwatch and other wildlife programmes.
Iolo is an entertaining and enthusiastic speaker and it should be a most enjoyable evening. He will speak though the medium of English and the talk is suitable for all ages.
The talk will be held in the Pontio Lecture theatre (level 5) on Wednesday 26th September starting at 7pm. Tickets, which can be bought from the Pontio Box Office, or online, and £10 (or £6 for over 60s, students and under 18s).
All the proceeds from his talk will be going to The Sophie Williams Trust. This Trust was set up to raise money for adaptations to the home of Sophie Williams, the Bangor University lecturer and conservationist, who is now paralysed after contracting Japanese encephalitis three years ago while doing research in China.
