It’s never too soon to start thinking about what comes next!
This may be your first week at University- or the first week of a new academic year -but don’t let that stop you giving some thought to your career and work options- you don’t need to be deciding on the whole deal now- but thinking about a part time job could ease your finances as well as improve your employability skills later on.
That’s only one of the options on offer at a Careers Open Day being held at Neuadd Rathbone (College Road) at 1.00-4.00 on Wednesday 29th September.
If a part-time job’s not for you, you can find out what skills workshops are available or learn about placement and training opportunities available after you graduate as well as checking that vital CV.
Local businesses will be there, offering part time jobs as well as discussing upcoming opportunities.
Have you ever considered running your own business? You can find out what support is available to budding entrepreneurs by talking to an on the spot business mentoring advisor.
Lynn Goodhew, head of careers said: “This is the first event of a busy year in our new location on College Road. We’re looking forward to running all sorts of workshops and events as well as providing our usual careers advice and opportunities.”
