More film successes for SCSM
On Sunday June 23rd the film NOT won best Welsh Language Film and Long I Stood There won best Narrative Film at the Cardiff Mini Film Festival.
This was written, produced and directed by John Evans, an MA Film-making student, from the School of Creative Studies and Media (SCSM). John’s eldest daughter Ceri also won the best acting category. John has given the two film awards to the school.
SCSM’s Osian Williams won second place with Cân I Emrys in the Welsh Language category and Malik Roberts was nominated in the art/experimental Category with his film Gibran.
The cast of NOT included: Nia - Sera Mai (SCSM); Ceri - Ceri Williams; Carys - Annabel Evans; Gavin - David Clarke (SCSM); Mathew Hughes (SCSM); Ian Roberts.

Other School associations were SCSM Lecturer Jo Wright who supervised it and Alex Ashcroft who assisted with the sound design.
Long I Stood There was the Final Year Group project from John Evans and Mat Owen, supervised by Dyfrig Jones Practical supervisor Jo Wright.
