North American Association for the Study of Welsh Culture and History Conference
From the 25thto the 27thof July, Bangor, the City of Learning, will be welcoming a plethora of young post-graduates, emerging academics and established scholars from all over the UK, and from as far afield as Ontario, Canada, as its hosts the 12thbiennial North American Association for the Study of Welsh Culture and History (NAASWCH) Conference of 2018.
From Popular Culture to Politics, Landscape to Literature, War, Media and Music, this three-day conference will be offering a stimulatingly diverse array of topics, themes and discourses on Welsh Culture, Literature and History, while also engaging with studies on Welsh-American culture, and exploring issues facing Contemporary Wales. The conference will include riveting papers from such distinguished keynote speakers as Huw Pryce, Professor of Welsh History at Bangor, Katie Gramich, Professor of English Literature at Cardiff, and Huw Osborne, Associate Professor at the Royal Military College of Canada.
