Now eight ACCA exemptions for BBS Accounting and Finance students
Bangor Business School have been successful in joining a small number of UK business schools now offering eight exemptions from ACCA professional exams to students on the BSc Accounting and Finance programme.
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is the global body for professional accountants, with over 219,000 members in 179 countries. The internationally recognised ACCA qualification is respected and highly sought-after by employers across the globe.
Our ACCA accredited programmes (listed below) have been assessed and awarded exemptions based on matching the syllabus of the ACCA qualification. This means that students on these programmes are eligible to sit fewer ACCA exams in recognition of what they have already covered on their BBS degree. This could significantly shorten the time it takes to gain the professional qualification after graduation.
Our ACCA accredited programmes:
- BSc Accounting and Finance (up to 8 exemptions)
- BSc Accounting and Banking (up to 6 exemptions)
- BSc Accounting and Economics (up to 7 exemptions)
- BSc Management with Accounting (up to 6 exemptions)
- BSc Banking and Finance (up to 4 exemptions)
In addition to exemptions already accredited, students on all of our ACCA accredited programmes are now eligible to be exempt from the ACCA Financial Management (FM) paper, subject to passing requisite modules.

In addition to recognition by the ACCA, our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes are accredited by a host of other professional bodies.
