SENRGY student selected as a volunteer for the Olympics!
3rd year BSc Geography student, Charlie Woolliscroft, has had the honour of being selected as a volunteer in the Transport Team for the 2012 Olympics.
Charlie was thrilled to be selected and said “The Olympics is the chance of a life time to get involved and gain experience; through volunteering I will be able to contribute towards the most iconic sporting event in our generation. I will be part of a team of over 70,000 volunteers who will be working alongside the athletes, media and a variety of technical support staff. I am very proud and excited to be part of an event which promises to be sustainable, exciting and that will leave a long lasting legacy within the United Kingdom.”
The skills Charlie will develop through the event will add to the range of subject-specific and transferable skills that she is developing through her degree studies.
