Strong REF performance for Electronic Engineering

The Head of the School of Electronic Engineering has welcomes the results of the 2014 REF in which research from the School was one of 14 submissions made by Bangor University.

 “We are delighted to see that our School is ranked 6^th in the UK and 1^st in Wales for Research output,” said Dr. Iestyn Pierce.

“We achieved 4* and 3* ratings across all sub-categories within the REF assessment process, demonstrating that we engage in research that is world leading or internationally excellent.

“When put alongside our recent very strong NSS results in which we were ranked 4^th in the UK and again 1^st in Wales, there can be no doubt that choosing to study Electronic Engineering at Bangor University offers the best combination of a world-leading academic school along with a great student experience.”
