Student and staff member recently presented at the international conference, City Margins, City Memories
The School of Philosophy and Religion, in collaboration with the School of Modern Languages, recently organised the interdisciplinary, International conference, City Margins, City Memories, at the School of Advanced Study in the Senate House, London.
The conference was sponsored by Opus, Archives and Research Center (California), the Institute of Modern Languages Research (London), and Bangor University.
Dan Phillips, whom undertook both his BA and MA studies in the School of Philosophy and Religion, presented his paper, ‘The Labyrinthine Metropolis: archetypal cities of order and chaos’.
Dr Lucy Huskinson presented her paper, ‘Reclaiming the City for Psyche: resetting the cornerstone of archetypal psychology’. Lucy’s paper was a dissemination of results from her project, Being Built: Re-Visioning Architectural Design and Urban Planning, for which she was awarded a grant from Opus, Archives and Research Center (California).
