Welsh Professor and Student on Wales Theatre Awards Shortlist

Professor Angharad Price and Llŷr Titus, a PhD student in the School of Welsh, are warmly congratulated on reaching The Wales Theatre Awards Shortlist 2016.

Angharad has been nominated for her first stage play, Nansi, which was performed in last year’s National Eisteddfod by Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru. Llŷr is nominated for his play Drych which was performed by Cwmni’r Frân Wen.

Some of the actors who took part in both productions are also nominated.

Melangel Dolma who acted in Nansi and Gwenno Hodgkins who acted in Drych are nominated in the Best Female Performance in the Welsh Language category while Bryn Fôn who acted in Drych in the Best Male Performance in the Welsh Language category.

The final winners will be announced in the Awards Show on Saturday, January 30 at Sherman Cymru in Cardiff.
