Freedom of Information Act: Publication Scheme
Bangor University has adopted the Information Commissioner's Model Publication Scheme.
The University is committed to making the following classes of information available to the public. You can find the majority of this information on our website by following the links under the relevant class descriptions.

- What our priorities are and how we are doing
- How we make decisions
- Our policies and procedures
- Lists and registers
- The services we offer
Further information on each class is available in the Information Commissioner's Definition Document for universities and other higher education institutions.
The University has also made available a Guide to Information giving more specific details of the information routinely available under each class, how the information can be accessed and, where appropriate, any charges made.
Excluded Information
The above classes of information will not generally include:
- Information which is prevented from being disclosed by law or exempt under the Freedom of Information Act or is otherwise considered to be protected from disclosure;
- Information in draft form;
- Information that is no longer readily available as it is contained in files which have been placed in archive storage or is difficult to access for similar reasons.
Information in Alternative Formats
The University will publish information in Welsh in accordance with its Welsh Language Scheme.
The University will also provide information in other forms and formats in accordance with the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 If you require any of the information in an alternative format please contact the Gwenan Hine, Head of Governance and Compliance.
Charging
Most of the information in the University's publication scheme is available free of charge on our website. In cases where it is impractical to make information available via the web, the University reserves the right to levy charges to cover photocopying, postage and packaging.

Most publications listed in the University's publication scheme are the copyright of Bangor University. Reproduction of material supplied through the publication scheme or in response to a request under the Freedom of Information Act without obtaining the express permission of the University (or copyright holder) may be an infringement of copyright.

To request other information not published under this scheme please contact Gwenan Hine, Head of Governance and Compliance. Provision of this information will be considered in accordance with the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act, the Environmental Information Regulations and the Data Protection Act.
