Question 5: What do I do if I need to cancel or rearrange a session?
- If you are unable to attend a session, you must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel your session with the tutor you have been allocated to. If you are unable to give this length of notice, please let us know as soon as possible. It is your responsibility to inform the tutor you have been allocated to by e mail or e mail disabilityservice@bangor.ac.uk
- You must send written confirmation from your Bangor University e mail of the reason you are unable to attend the session. If you have given less than 24 hours’ notice, your tutor will send you an e mail requesting your reason for not attending the session.
- You will also receive an automated e mail requesting that you confirm your non-attendance.
- After two missed sessions you will receive an e mail from one of the SpLD Advisers to follow up what support they can put in place to avoid missing sessions.
- Please note - if less than 24 hours’ notice is given, your study hour will be deducted from your overall balance allocated. Working days are from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
- If you do not attend your support session(s) and have not cancelled giving more than 24 hours’ notice, your funding body may not approve continuation of study skills support.
- Please note: if your study skills support is funded then it is likely that your funding body will not pay for a study support session that you have cancelled, without sufficient notice, due to Bangor University changing a lecture time. If you need to cancel a study support session for this reason, and are not able to give 24 hours’ notice, we will need confirmation from your School stating this lecture change.
