Meningococcal Meningitis
We advise all first year students to be vaccinated against meningococcal disease prior to coming to Bangor University.
Knowing the signs and symptoms of meningitis and septicaemia is one of the best forms of defence against the disease. Meningitis and septicaemia can be treated with powerful antibiotics, this treatment works best if it is given as soon as possible. That’s why it is important to know what to look out for and to get medical help quickly if you are concerned. If you have any queries about Meningitis contact your GP surgery.
