Indicative Course Content Section 1 -Purpose and role of the police in policing the roads -Key legislation, concepts, policies and strategies on policing the roads -Other crimes linked to the roads – smuggling, organised crime, transport of weapons, drugs, and people -Motivations for dangerous driving – drinks and drugs, speeding – and prevention strategies -Investigation of traffic offences and accidents

Section 2 -Introduction to e-crime -Internet-facilitated crime – fraud, theft, harassment, online sexual exploitation -Internet-enabled crime – hacking, phishing -Organised crime online -The dark net -Digital technologies in policing -Spatial mapping and predictive policing -Digital Policing and Communicating with the Media
