Overview
Defining and critically exploring the nature of complexity in relation to patient needs Critical explanation of nursing decision–making and management of risk in child health settings for quality improvement. Clinical management of complexity as applied to a range of children's health care settings Critically exploring the impact of interprofessional practice in relation to care of children, young people and families. Clinical Management of complexity in health care across the lifespan in a range of settings Creating, leading and evaluate a caring environment, taking ethical issues into consideration Enhancing the patient experience, acknowledging language, spiritual & cultural needs of children, young people and their families Embodying excellence in practice

-threshold -Grades: D- to D+ Understanding of the facts and principles specific to the topics covered in this module and the outcomes being assessed. Students will be required to achieve a minimum of D- grade in the assignment to in order to pass.

Learning Outcomes
- Critically examine and debate the policies, principles and risk management issues informing the delivery of complex patient care for children, young people and their families
- Critically apply the evidence base relating to the psychological, sociological and complex interventions used to improve the health and well being outcomes for children, young people with complex problems and their families
- Critically appraise and apply a range of legal and ethical perspectives to quality improvement in complex care management for children, young people and their families
- Demonstrate critical awareness of leadership and management for children, young people and their families
