I am the Director of Teaching & Learning for the College of Medicine and Health, which hosts the disciplines of Psychology, Medicine, Healthcare Sciences, Sport and Exercise Sciences, and Biomedical Sciences. The strategic focus of my role within the College is to ensure that our teaching sits at the cutting edge of educational transformation and innovative support for learning. Further to my College duties, I am the Reward & Recognition for Teaching & Learning Manager for the University, and in this role I lead the University’s accredited Advance HE provision, enabling staff to become recognised and rewarded for citizenship to, and excellence within, teaching and learning in higher education. In addition to my College and University roles, I lecture within the School of Psychology and Sport Science, where I teach Biological Psychology and Consumer Psychology at undergraduate level, and I lead a discipline specific teacher training programme for doctoral students who teach across the School's programmes.

I am a neuropsychologist and I explore how our emotional experiences can influence our decision-making. My empirical expertise feeds my applied work in identifying and solving problems within businesses, and I have worked with a number of high-profile clients, such as Unilever, Aldi and Mondelez, bridging the gap between science and practice. As an expert in consumer psychology, I have contributed to BBC’s X-Ray, BBC Breakfast, BBC Radio Wales, and BBC Radio 4, with regard to shopping behaviour, and the influence of personal relationships on decision-making. I am a PI on the WEFO funded CALIN project, and my most recent focus has been on the development of multi-disciplinary interventions and training programmes which aim to enhance mental health and wellbeing within small-to-medium enterprises. I am a member of the Institute for Wellbeing Research within the School of Psychology and Sport Science.
