Rev James Seager
Diddordebau Ymchwil
Researching classical Pentecostal local church leadership, with an emphasis on how the interactions between leaders and followers can support the development of church communities that are authentic, growing, charismatic, and safe.
Working within the field of Practical Theology, the reserarch first develops a new model of theological refelction based on the narrative about the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2. It then describes the current experience of Pentecostal leadership before drawing together the voices of Scripture, local church commuinities, and other academic disciplines from which leadership is 're-scripted'. Finally, aspects of how Penecostal leadership are affirmed or challenged through the conversation are noted and suggestions made as to revisions that might help support the development of authentic, growing, charismatic, and safe Pentecostal churches.
