Addysgu ac Arolygiaeth
Thandi teaches Social Psychology at Level 5 (Year 2) in which we explore how humans are in relationship to one another and how our interactions shape individual and group behaviour.
At Level 6 (Year 3) she teaches an optional module called Mindfulness. In this module, students participate in an 8-week mindfulness course alongside learning about the theory and research underpinning mindfulness.
Currently, Thandi is supervising an MRes project exploring the Hidden Voices in Mindfulness Teacher training in which we are exploring ways in which teacher training programmes make space, or don't, for people of colour.
When supervising undergraduate research projects - these are usually on the on the Psychology and Psychology with Clinical and Health Psychology streams and my research projects are primarily focussed on perception and judgements of social cues and how individual difference variables, including clinically relevant variables, may impact on our ability to interpret social cues. She is also interested in the role of mindfulness in understanding social relationships and social change and action.
