I found out about Bangor University by researching universities offering Social Policy courses. I realised that Bangor University is the best place for my higher studies. Extensive courses and research opportunities are offers by the School of History, Philosophy and Social Science. I am happy to studyat Bangor University which one of gold-ranked in the UK.
The International Ambassador Scheme
As an international student, when I arrived here the first time I realised the importance of the accurate support when facing the difficulties of moving into a new environment. It helps international students to settle in different country easy way. That's why I want to use my experiences to help other international students to make the most of their University time and enjoy their lives in Bangor as much as I do.
What is the most difficult thing about being an International Student?
I guess that cultural differences and the language barrier and we may get homesickness because we are away from home.
The Course
We have an opportunity to gain knowledge of social policy from a different perspective. There are modules, such as key issues in Social Policy, research process and meaning & Society political & History of Karl Marx. Dissertation also the most interesting part of the MA programme. The best thing is the fantastic support of the staff and teaching facility in the School of History, philosophy and Social science.
The Lecturers
I am glad to say that the lecturers, tutors and support staff are more helpful and friendly. Bangor University has a higher reputation for teaching facilities. Students can enjoy with their studying.
Clubs and Societies
Not yet, but I will do as soon as possible. I enjoy hanging out with friends, participating in outdoor events like hiking.

Definitely, the best thing about living in Bangor would be nature surroundings Bangor. Cooling atmosphere is wonderful experience since I come from a comparatively warm country. Otherwise, the sea is most lovely place that I do love ever.

Support from the University
I would like to really appreciate the International office and my country manager. I arrived here at the last minute and missed my orientation programme and some lectures also because delay of my visa process. As a newcomer for the UK, I felt nervous but they helped me with the overall process that I should follow and find a private accommodation also. Lectures also help me to adjust to studying without any drawback of missing lectures. I realized how university do support for a student on the first day of my student life at Bangor University.
Advice for new international students
My advice is this is the best time to enjoy your life in a meaningful way. Never be afraid to try things out which new for you. Don't waste your time here, try to gain massive experience for your life. Amazing experiences completely change your perspective.
The future
My future plan is a starting my PhD after completing a postgraduate degree. I think this is the programme really useful, not just me, but for the students who wish to study here in the future. I love to help students as a future social worker.
