Luyi Wang joined Bangor University as a Lecturer in Music Education in January 2024, after completing her PhD in Education at the University of Glasgow in 2023. She also holds an MA in Music Education: Instrumental and Vocal Teaching from the University of York and a BA in Musicology (Music Education pathway) from Xiamen University, China.
With over a decade of experience, Luyi has been teaching music in a variety of settings, including schools, universities, and community programmes. Her research interests include music education, active and creative pedagogies, EDI (equality, diversity, inclusion), and the role of music in health and wellbeing.
